The Gravity Fitness Portable Pull Up Rack has been designed to be used anywhere. The whole thing folds down into the included bag in under 2 minutes and can be assembled in the same amount of time. We use locking pins meaning absolutely no tools are required to assemble the pull up rack.
Pull ups are one of the best exercises for strengthening the back muscles. Doing pull ups will also recruit your biceps, shoulders and pectoral muscles. We at Gravity Fitness believe everyone should be including pull ups into their workouts and believe all men should be able to perform at least 10 strict pull ups and at least 5 for woman – the question is can you?
Pull ups will improve posture by building strength in your “Pull Muscles” which will strengthen and tighten your back over time. As a general rule you should be doing as many pull movements as you are push to ensure balance throughout your body.
Doing overhand grip pullups will predominately use your back muscles, working your biceps as a secondary muscle. To recruit more bicep you should use an underhand grip, performing a chin up.
Whilst the pull up will recruit a small amount of your chest muscles, they are predominately an upper back exercise. Push ups are the opposite movement to a pull up and these will predominately work your chest. Its important that you work both push and pull movements in order to ensure a balanced physic and reduce chances of future injury.
Pull ups will mainly work your upper back muscles, however in order to generate the power needed to pull your body up will engage your core. In fact its essential that you build a strong core in order to perform proper form pull ups.

I got my Portable Pull Up Rack and the Adjustable Parallettes a couple of weeks ago on the estimated delivery (I'm in R. of Ireland) and I've been using them every day since.
The pull up bars are stronger than they look and they're very easy to assemble (takes me 2 minutes on the clock once I got the muscle memory on how to build it). Sure it's a bit wobbly at times, but that's the price to pay for something you can put into a bag and move around. It hasn't stopped me from doing any exercise anyway, I just need to adjust the way I do muscle ups, but it's doable. Using a counter weight (a 35kg sandbag in my case) helps!
My only pain point was disassembling the base, I struggle to pull it apart, but that can be fixed by replacing the inner pins with external ones. Gravity Fitness already sent me some :)
The Parallettes are worthy the investment, they're super sturdy and the material has a nice grip (not too harsh, not too slippery).
But what blew my mind off the most, was their customer support! I sent an email asking for advice on how to dismount the bar and I got a reply within a working day, and when I replied back they answered within the hour! When I said I was happy with their suggestion of replacing the pins giving my consent to close the incident, they sent me new pins that I didn't even asked for! Amazing! I don't remember ever getting such an incredible and fast support!
Vicky was the name of the person that dealt with me :)
Really fun bit of kit, feels plenty stable enough when doing pull ups or using the rings, which was my main concern. The only downside was putting it together some of the clips didn't want to go in easily so I'm not sure I'd want to take it down and pack it away/put it up again. Also some parts arrived slightly rusty which for a brand new product isn't ideal.
I bought this as part of a callisthenics bundle, and whilst it does work for pull-ups, I think it could easily be improved with some small tweaks.
For example, the pull-up bar itself is pretty thick, which isn't ideal for anyone with smaller hands. I don't have small hands for a woman, but it feels like this is designed for men.
The bar itself is also pretty slippy. If it were coated with a similar material to the paralettes (large), then it would be much easier to grip.
Finally, whilst it sells itself as 'portable', in reality it's too hard to get the bits apart again to actually dismantle easily.
All other products in the bundle were so well designed that it's a shame this one let the set down somewhat.
If you don’t have hands size of bread loaf, don’t get it because you will not be able to grab it fully. Everything else is great. Bar is fantastic and stable. Heavy af tho so u are not taking it outside without some sort of transport. All in all I think it’s a good. Bit expensive given it’s just few metal pipes but still reasonable to get.
The rack is very well constructed from quality materials. It's a piece of cake to assemble, although disassembly of the base section can be a bit fiddly for one person. There is slight movement when using the bar, but that's to be expected and is not an issue whatsoever. Would be nice if the bar was a wee bit taller, but overall very happy with the purchase and service received from Gravity Fitness.
